Deep down I want Marten and Faye to hook up at the end of it. I remember the story around the "Faye tels Marten her issues" arc really got intense in a very good way, and once Jeph broke up Marten and Dora I could see it happening.

My inner storyteller says that this is basically a harem comic in form, which would logically mean that Marten will get Faye but not until the end of the strip. It would be like Keitaro not ending up with Naru in Love Hina. But it's not a definite anything, really.
