"Many people regard the monarchy as a feudal relic. It is but it serves a purpose for the ruling class as a focus for loyalty to their state. Replacing it with a Republic would make no difference whatsoever as the economic basis of society (the class ownership of productive resources, production for profit and the drive to accumulate capital) would continue. So, too, therefore would the problems this causes, as can be seen from the fact that they are identical in monarchist Britain and Holland and republican France and America."

While what you've said is true, I see no reason why we shouldn't liquidate the monarchy because it is simply another layer of parasitism which really no one has an argument for keeping. And getting rid of them would be progress, at least in my opinion. And of course lets get rid of the ruling class as well.

I think they've become pretty much incorporated into the single layer of parasitism.
