I am a libertarian Marxist/left-communist, and I sympathize with the ideas of "veganarchism" to a pretty full extent. I am a vegetarian, but I am looking to make the crossover into veganism.
Any vegans out there have any advice for an aspiring newcomer?

Yes, avoid fake meats. Fake meats are both the least sustainable and unhealthy, you might as well eat McDonalds. If you can, try to eat more raw foods since they're usually cheaper and easier to prepare.
I'm not sure where you live, but right now is the perfect time over here in Canada to grow vegetables. I only spend around $10 during the summer since I can grow most of my food.
As for nutrition, you can find b12 capsules or eat nutritional yeast which is sometimes fortified with b12 and other nutrients and it also makes a really good cheese. Also for omega 3, I use alot of chia seeds.. I sprinkle them on salads just to add a more crunchy texture. As for other things like iron and calcium, you should try spinach and tahini. I have been vegan for 2 years and I have absolutely no health related issues. I don't supplement and I don't follow any specific meal plan.. I know that you're interested in veganarchism, but I've always been challenged by this myth that vegans don't get their nutrients..
