All these are from today's Himalayan Times.

Looks like Bhattarai, backed by Shrestha is making a move, either outside of inside the party. I challenge anyone to find a reference to the working class or socialism in any of the articles.

GORKHA: Baburam Bhattarai’s faction of UCPN-Maoist has started meeting party cadres in different districts to take its ‘different opinion’ to the local level.

In its first meeting in the region, a gathering was held at a church hall in Darechok of Kurintar-3, Gorkha, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm today.

According to Tamuwan State Committee Secretariat Member Yan Prasad Bhatta, the meeting was attended by around 170 party cadres, including politburo member Devendra Poudel and assistant secretary of Tamuwan State Committee Krishna Sharma, Chitwan district secretary Ramesh Regmi, Lamjung district in-charge Devendra Parajuli, lawmaker Gyanendra Kumal and other leaders from Tanahun and Gorkha.

“The interaction focused on the fact that the party was being run in the direction of Bhattarai’s views from its second national conference in 2057 BS and in the Chungbang meeting too. Bhattarai’s document presented in Palungtar extended the meeting to the document approved by the central committee in Baisakh,” Bhatta said.

Bhatta also said the gathering discussed preventing increased intra-party struggle. “We had also invited the party leadership in the district but they did not come,” he clarified, adding, “The meeting was held within the norms of the party’s five-point code of conduct.

“Meanwhile, district secretary Chudamani Khadka protested the gathering, claiming that it was held by a faction within the party. “We condemn such gatherings held against party interest and unity. This kind of gathering will only foster disintegration and counter-revolution,” he argued.

Poudel however said that the gathering was held to discuss revolution and was in the party’s interest. Talking to THT over phone, he said, “We organised the gathering to gain support of party cadres for Bhattarai, who is trusted by the country and its people.”http://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullNews.php?headline=Bhattarai+men+in+Gorkha%26sb quo%3B+reaching+out+to+cadres&NewsID=291227&a=3
