Yeah, I've seen that in a lot of places. Youtube is a perfect example of unintentionally showing how greedy corporations can get, and it pisses off youtubers. Who make hilarious angry comments. It's not just WMG they also hate VEVO and all those other asshole compnaies that make us sit through 30 seconds of advertisement before we watch whatever we were watching.

Yeah, the annoyance with WMG and co. isn't really new. The reactions to this particular instance just made me laugh.

What I wonder is, does this happen more or less automatically? Or are there actually people at WMG whose sole job is to make considerations like: "Okay, here's a video that is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide; it allows parents to show their children the Muppets, and perhaps they'll buy DVDs. It is, however, also a flagrant violation of copyright, so those kids can go to hell"?
