View Full Version : Regarding recent movements by the Zapatistas/prominent organisations in Mexico

Does anyone have any reliable information regarding recent movements by the Zapatistas? I knew from the beginning that they weren't going to be the "driving force" for the next revolution in Mexico (anarcho-"anything" ain't the answer) but I was confident that they were going to inspire more proletariat-based organisation in Mexico's heavily populated areas due to their success and popularity (and their charismatic "leader", of course). For that reason, I am still interested in them.

If someone could give me a short run down on prominent leftist organisations/parties that are making a lot of headway in Mexico as of now it would be much appreciated also :)

I do know they joined the recent protests around mexico against the drug war. Other than that they have been keeping a low profile since la sexta/la otra campanga.

Sorry but the most recent thing I know is that they are supporting Palestine but that was in 2009. Try Radio Zapatista!
