In commemoration of the struggle of the West Bank and Gaza against the occupation that had began on June Fifth 1967 by Zionist Forces, I propose that Revleft's users engage in the writing of poetry commemorating the struggles of Palestinians in order to show solidarity with those in Palestine that continually struggle against Zionism, as well out of solidarity each member of Revleft should for June Fifth use a Palestinian related avatar.

As well as Sam said, as this doesn't directly influence the situation within Palestine or serve as an actual Solidary Action:

Revleft Users should as well engage in actual Solidarity Actions and show solidarity with Ahmad Sa'adat through writing letters to Ahmad Sa'adat whom is currently being held as a political prisoner, which will show Ahmad Sa'adat that he has not been forgotten.
'Email us at [email protected] with the text of your letter, and send it directly to Ahmad Sa'adat, Ramon Prison, Ramon area, PO Box 699, Postal Code 80600, Israel'

What does changing an avatar on a forum actually achieve?

Keeps me from recognising anyone who posts.

It shows solidarity with those in Palestine resisting Zionist Occupation.

No it doesn't. Any Palestinian brother or sister would know this already through Revleft itself. It's complete nonsense.

Very much like those old Myspace 'virtual' ASCII ribbons "put this on your page to stop animal cruelty" and whatnot. It doesn't do anything, it doesn't solve anything. The idea of Solidarity action is meaningful in the sense of convergences and rallies in public spaces, linking up with the community at large and whatnot. It isn't the 'change avatars for solidarity' which actually seems very patronising to the struggle of Palestinians in my opinion - reducing their courage to an inch-by-inch picture to show apparent 'support'.

Its not meant to take the place of an actual solidarity action. Its simply meant to show solidarity through a form of media (Internet) towards Palestine, its not attempting to take the place of actual Solidarity Actions with Palestinian Brothers and Sisters.

So then who are we supposed to be 'winning over' or 'showing solidarity to' on Revleft? OI?

The internet alone is not media.
The occupation did not commence in 1967, it was merely entrenched.

Why not think of something meaningful that can be done via the media and internet instead of Revleft? What i'm hinting at is that you should think before posting such stuff.

'The internet alone is not media.'
Indeed.
'Why not think of something meaningful that can be done via the media and internet instead of Revleft?'
See the Updated Post.
However, whether or not it is 'meaningful' it is in the end still showing solidarity for the Palestinian People who are continually struggling against Zionism and it shows support whether or not it will 'directly effect' the situation or not. As said-- its not attempting to serve in the method that you seek to say that it is seeking to.
'So then who are we supposed to be 'winning over' or 'showing solidarity to' on Revleft?'
As said: We're showing Solidarity to the Palestinians who are struggling against Zionism and recognizing June Fifth a date commemorating the Palestinian Struggle against an Illegal Zionist Military Action.
'The occupation did not commence in 1967, it was merely entrenched. '
As said, June Fifth 1967 simply represents the beginning of the occupation of Golan Heights, Gaza and the West Bank; Not the beginning of the illegitimate Zionist State.
