Firstly, no, this movie is not about Internet Trolls, it's about REAL LIFE trolls in Norway (where it was also filmed/produced), and a group of college friends who are making a documentary (sort of in the fashion of the Blair Witch Project, but not so bad from what I've been told,) in search for the truth about Trolls and their existence. It first came out to the US, during the Sundance Film Festival , but is now being released to the regular theaters, across the country, June 10th.
Anyone heard of it/going to go see it?

I already saw it (the norwegian version came out first). It was a pretty fun movie. The trolls were pretty cool as well. My one problem is the way that they recorded the movie. Since it's like the students are filming, the camera can get shaky at times and gave me a mild headache.

It was a good movie, couldn't understand a word of the dialogue because I couldn't get subtitles to work, but still good and fairly easy to follow what is going on.
saw it at a local film festival, its a good movie, really funny i definitely recommend to check it out. medico, you should try to find one with subtitles, the dialogue is really funny at parts

Scandanavia's been coming out with some really good genre films recently. Seen "Rare Exports"?

Are you sure this isn't a documentary? I was totally sure that was the message I was supposed to take away from my trip to the Epcot Center.
In all seriousness, they're a huge part of Norwegian folklore IIRC... I'm actually pretty interested in seeing this now.

The cool part that I like about the trailer, is they've kept the trolls to looking like the actual pictures from Norwegian folklore, than something stupid. So that's cool.

See it if you can, definitely one of the better films I've seen the last year.
The high voltage lines jokes are abit funnier if you keep in mind that there is a political clusterfuck every-time new lines needs to be built.
I was surprised they didn't mention giants cook-pots anywhere in the movie though.

I saw the trailer a couple months ago and it looked like the biggest piece of shit ever. Then I watched it, god damn amazing.
The trailer is shitty compared to the actual movie

The part where I probably laughed the most is when they try to get the troll out from under a bridge, and as bait they use three goats, one small, one slightly bigger, and one big. It's a reference to a Norwegian fairy tale, about three goats (one small, one slightly... well, you get the point) going to the 'saeter' (some kind of a summer farm) for the holiday, and they have to cross a bridge with a troll under it.
