I'm very very fortunate to have friends in Paris, Germany and Estonia. The 3 countries I will visit. I manage to get a plane ticket to Paris for a decent price after getting some money from insurance settlement. I'm excited.

Any of you live over there? any pointers? any ideas.. suggestions? What can you tell me? I've never been to any of these places.. the only challenge I see is trying to get a taxi to take me from Brussels Bus station to the airport so i don't miss a flight to Estonia haha.

If you're going to France, Germany and Estonia, why are you in Brussels, which is in Belgium?

sorry, seems amsterdam isnt on your route....
paris; go see the catacombs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catacombs_of_Paris) and the wall of the communards on pere lachese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communards%27_Wall)
germany, depends where you are going, in berlin go to the statsi museum (http://www.stasimuseum.de/en/enindex.htm), have a drink in the koepi (http://www.koepi137.net/) , in hamburg have that drink in the roteflora (http://www.nadir.org/nadir/initiativ/roteflora/) and the jolly roger (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=jolly+roger+st+pauli&fb=1&hq=jolly+roger&hnear=0x47b18f13421e545d:0x5263df27bd98b40,St+Paul i,+Hamburg,+Germany&cid=6583900300123363288)
if your in talin (estonia) its well worth shelling out the extra buck and take the boat for a day or two to helsinki.

To answer some questions;

I will be in Frankfurt in Germany.. I'm going to be in Brussels because I have a flight to Estonia from there.. I know! weird.. but the flight to Estonia was only $138 from Brussels compared to every near city ($250 to $310) I'm going to take a bus ride over night for only 42 Euro.. seem to me this was the most practical thing to do.

I will already go to Finland since my flight leaves from there to head back home to the good ole' USA...

BTW great suggestions for Paris.. I also plan on checking out some of the cemeteries! any people in mind I should be paying my respects to?

I also plan on going to Porfirio Diaz tomb and placing a picture of Zapata on it! #winning! :)

I always love it when North Americans refer to 'Europe' as if it was some sort of homogenous state or country.

Sort of the same thing when Europeans talk about coming to "America" when it's a bit larger than the entirety of Europe and pretty diverse culturally... The only difference is some Europeans love to act like giant assholes about it.

For that matter, I find it funny how British people refer to "Europe" as if they weren't part of it, i.e. only meaning "mainland" Europe.

As for the OP: Could you have a longer stop at Brussels? Or get to visit Maastricht? :)

Love Paris but, le sigh, I do not live there but I will say, the bones in the catacombs are not, how you say, well guarded or secure.

At any rate, have fun man, booze is relatively cheap.

Is stealing those a common theme? That'd be disgusting.

Actually, I always thought it would be badass to have the top half of a human skull to use as a cup. I looked it up once though, and where I live I could get up to 40 years in prison, and 10000 dollar fine for grave robbery or something like that. Now I know where where to go.

go to pere lachaise, ignore all the people who assume you come fore jim morison and pay your respects to Makhno and the other revolutionary's.
he is just one of so many cool people that are buried there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cimeti%C3%A8re_du_P%C3%A8re-Lachaise

one of my favorites is the poor beggar that lies in the grave of the great french playwright and national treasure Moliere.
when Moliere died actors (like he also was) where not allowed to be burried in holy ground by the catholic church so he was tossed unceremoniously in some mass grave for criminals and heathens, so by the time he was declared an national treasure etc they just pulled an random skelleton out of the massgrave and slapped that in the tomb

one of the most impressive bits of perelachaise is right next to the communards wall, there is an whole string of concentrationcamp, resistance, and spanish civilwar veteran monuments, very very overwhelming.
