They get 3 outta 5. Good, but not stunning. They woulda worked much better in a small intimate setting. This whole stadium rock thing pisses me off. Coheed and Cambria were awesome, working in a Maiden cover segueway into their set and generally being awesome.
Well someone has to post on here haha.

I am not a huge Emo fan. In fact, I hate most of it. I guess Thursday is "Screamo" though.
I saw the Bouncing Sould and Tsunami Bomb last night. It was alright, Tsunami Bomb was cool. I'd give my left kidney for one night in bed with the singer of that band. She is amazingly sexy.

Oh Jesus, please don't misuse the word screamo. I know what it is, and it sure as fuck isn't Thursday, whatever Rolling Stone tells you.

You don't have to be a dickhead man. And I don't fucking read Rolling Stone.
I was joking about the "screamo" bullshit. Either way, I think Thursday sucks. That's what punk rock needs, more fucking songs about girls breaking up with you.

#1 I didn't attack you...you chose to get offended.
#2 Read Thursday's lyrics, most of them are socio-political.
#3 They have fuck all to do with punk rock
Harriet - ah fair enough. You probably would have liked it...although the place was chockablock with identikit emo poseurs .

#1. I didn't say you attacked me, I said you were being a dickhead. You implied that I get my information from Rolling Stone, I take that as an insult.
#2. I wouldn't say most of their lyrics are political. I'd say some of them are, I'd say the majority of them are teeny bopper bullshit.
#3. They have everything to do with punk rock. They are an Emo band, emo is a form of punk rock. Plus, they are even more punk influenced than most real emo bands, like Sunny Day Real Estate and shit like that.
As far as the Emo posers, that's exactly why I don't like the emo scene.

OK I seriously recommend you read them. Their non-political lyrics concern more serious stuff than girls. I'm pretty sure their penultimate record, Full Collapse, is about the death of a close friend of the band's in a car crash. They followed it up with Five Stories Falling EP, which was a previously unscheduled recording of a live show done in the aftermath of the suicide of a fan who was supposed to be attending. That night, the singer dumped his girlfriend and tried to kill himself, which is the subject matter of the one studio track on the release, Jet Black New Year. The other four tracks are written by the other four band members and all concern the fan's death. I'd say that's a level above teenybopper level, but hey, I couldn't give a shit what you think.

Yes, and bands like Good Charlotte and New Found Glory also sing about "serious" shit, that doesn't make them good bands now does it ?
Not that Thursday is on that level.

I never claimed that you should like them, I just pointed out the facts about their lyrics. This argument is boring: don't carry it on cos I will win.

I was going to stop posting in this, then you had to say you will win.
No, you won't, we will both lose. I hate Thursday, you like them. You are not going to change my mind and I won't change yours. Now explain to me how that means you have won.

Yeah I chatted to G from FFAF. He knows me personally after an incident involving myself and the tour manager when they played Colchester. We kinda made our peace @ the FATA show the next month. It was actually really great when I look back on it, I'm loving Thursday and Co&Ca.
PM/email me and I'll reply.
