A series of newsreels modified into a documentary produced by the US government before the cold war began about the Soviet resistance to the fascist invaders and all that.
its funny how highly US generals spoke of the Soviet Union back then.
but, it has some interesting stuff in the documentary as well.
EDIT: forgot to mention, this is form the perspective of the united states government. though there was a revival of national myths during WWII, the documentary seems to make the people of the soviet union a bit mystic. nevertheless, it is still good. and it only goes up until 1943 when the red army finally started pushing back and retaking the soviet west.
