I've been following American Dad and Family guy every week, but now the season is over (until fall), which other similar shows would you recommend?

King of the Hill is awesome. It's so wholesome.

I loath American Dad and the Cleavland Show

I get a few cheap laughs out the MacFarlane cartoons but sometimes it's lack of subtlety is cringeworthy. Especially the Family Guy episode where they go to Texas. That episode is annoying.

Never got into the MacFarlane stuff, and I was too young to understand the humor of King of the Hill when it was on Fox.

I do enjoy the occasional Bob's Burgers, though.

King of the Hill generally annoys me, as do most Fox shows, but I can stand American Dad and Family Guy to a certain point.

All of those shows have an implicit pro-capitalist sentiment, and I think that goes without saying. They wouldn't be on TV, let alone a channel like Fox if they weren't that way.

I recommend the Adult Swim lineup. I don't really like Eagleheart, but tbh, I haven't given it much of a chance (I just don't like cop shows). Otoh, assy maggie, also a cop show, has me on the floor, but I think it's been cancelled.

Another noteworthy program is SuperJail, which is sort of a critique on the prison industrial complex, I guess.

Of course, the new Aqua Teens, I've seen one, and it was decent. Tim and Eric, when it doesn't induce vomiting can be funny. Children's hospital, the completely ironic and self-aware hospital show (the name of the hospital founder was something Childrens ha) is actually pretty decent and stars a former Daily Show persona (can't remember his name now).

Srsly, if you like those shows, check out Adult Swim, every night at about 9 or 10. Good stuff. There's a lot more going on than I mentioned.

Well I wouldn't actually label them as capitalist propaganda
In many cases they actually mock capitalism, religion, conservatism and US government. Also characters like Brian Griffin and Haley Smith are a complete opposite of what FOX preaches most of the time :)

And who could forget the little fact that they included soviet anthem into one of the episodes?:lol::lol:

That was a cool episode, must watch.

Archer. It's much better than any MacFarlane cartoon.

It should be easy to find it online. It's full of communist references, very funny

MacFarlene has been doing terrible the last 6-7 years. Ever since they brought back Family Guy, it's become an exact replica of the Simpsons, where all they do is beat a dead horse with a joke that was originally not funny.

Watch King of the Hill. That show stayed genuinely good until the last season or two, and even then it still ruled.
