View Full Version : Results of the Students "mock" election

I was just looking at the results of the mock election that was put on for Ontario students, and discovered that the results would be just a more extreme victory for the Liberals if the High School Youth could vote.

However, the Communist Party seemed to be a more popular to the high school youth, but not very popular with the Younger elementary school youth.

The CPC seemed to come in after the Green Party in most of the ridings they ran in - a little bit better than in the "real" election.

What do the results of this tell us? Maybe that the Liberals might try to campaign for a lower voting age? They must be drooling over these results....

But what is it that the Youth admire about the Liberals so much?

I voted NDP, the CPC didn't have a riding in my school.

Ahhh highschool. I remember those days. They thought the election was going to be called in April. Then may, then June, then the teacher said 'fuck it' then it came in October. My brother nulled his ballot because none of the parties spoke to him (which must be recorded as an abstain in Ontario) and I voted Green in the real election.

The liberals have their nazi youth...i mean hitler youth doing very active activities such as ;'why havent you voted? well go vote liberial instead of not voting!' its bullshit,k really. The party is a wash out.

Did you hear about the result Marcel where a CPC comrade got 2% in a working class area, pretty damn good considering what the rest of the world is getting, you sometimes call yourself mista-x right?

I pedict the conomy is going to take a downslide due to the result of the election. As I said before Ontario is the hub of Canada and we need a gouvernment in control of the buget. You watch. Dalton's going to mess up all the progress the pc's have made. I voted green as well as per thier clearly the lesser of the evils.

So you support the PC's over the Liberals? They are both of the same ilk, except the liberals will reverse some of the laws that the PC's put inplace that harm the poor. Such as the acts around housing.

Economy is less important than people.

That whole voting thing made me really angry. So many kids voted communism because they thought it was "funny".
"I'm going to vote... communism! ahahaha" I can't even begin to understand how that can possibly be a joke.

Now, a communist is known as someone who is apathetic and just likes to fuck things up.
I hate it. I hate that stupid high school.

I came out as a Communist and no one takes me seriously. 1/2 The people who talk to me confuse Communism with Nazism and say some stupid shit like why do you hate the Jews? or why do you hate freedom?
