I'm currently in that large segment of people who are ignorant of communist theory. Being a previously mainstream liberal, I've been exploring the different theories of the left. Oh, and I've read the Manifesto, and while I agree with the premise, there is no real outlined plan of how a communist government would be run. Also I'm still wary of jumping on any bandwagon yet. At least there is one thing I'm sure of- I can't in good conscience support any branch of communism that is authoritarian or totalitarian. Let's leave the Right to that.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to convey with my meanderings is that I'm currently much more sympathetic to Trotskyism than Stalinism.

I look forward to enlightenment.

Welcome to RevLeft! If you don't like authoritarianism, perhaps research Anarchist or Left Communism.
