View Full Version : why do people always hate snitches?

the Left ofc hates them because recognise them as collaborating iwth the bourgeois state etc
but pretty much everyone i know despise snitches (me included), be it from early days in school to talking to police about stuff
in some cases its obvious, if someone gets caught for something and they bring everyone else down with them for hope of them getting of lighter
but it seems snitches are universaly hated by pretty much most people. whats the history behind this?
some sort of natural hate towards the state from people?(sup anarchists)

Because nobody likes a tattle-tale.
I think it usually has something to do with people sticking their nose into other people's business. You know, like you cut class and some random jerk is like "oh, chris? he's not here? I saw him in first period though?!".

^^makes sense
but why do we (and me) respect people who, if they get caught doing something by authorities, not telling on the others involved, even if others are just, if not more guilty? the fact that they showed loyalty?
also to the "state-socilaists" - should people snitch to authorities in a socialist state?

Cause you'd be betraying your friends, you know?

it's because people don't like people that get in the way of other peoples lives when it doesn't effect them.

 No, it's a real, live cop. Hence, the humorous irony. But he does damned sure look like him now that you mention it.

Snitches are clumsy. They keep falling onto things, like the pavement, gravel, brick walls, door jambs, metal pipes, 2x4s, my fists, etc.

Well, there does seem to be a natural hatred for snitches. There also seems to be a natural hatred for cops across all groups. Example: my parents are white conservative Christians that, as far as I know, have never been arrested for anything. Even so my dad describes cops as power hungry assholes. It seems there is a culture of hatred for the law. It may just be a natural dislike for authority shared by most people.

Because they've simultaneously destroyed you personally and the goals you've both worked towards. Being betrayed is one of the worst feelings- it's sudden and completely forever. It is the rage inciting and blindingly furious polar opposite version of their death had they never uttered a word.

Because snitches cooperate with cops and we all know cops are agents of state power---and we all hate state power!!!

Is it ever ok to snitch against someone you don't like?
You can't betray someone you never had an allegiance to in the first place.

Gangsters hate snitching because it's bad for profits. But they themselves usually snitch anyway when their backs are up against the wall (e.g. when facing decades in prison), because, well, there's usually very little honour amongst thieves.
The rest of us hated grasses because we hated the police. (Past tense because things are changing for the worse.)

No.
Hypothetical situation-
You know a paedo has been fiddling with kids and you're the only one that knows anything.
You seriously saying you'd sit on your hands with this information?

It would be arguably better to shoot him in the balls than tell the police. This is, of course, a revleft standard I don't hold myself to.

What I find funny about this is the fact that the police are some of the most hardcore anti-snitching people you will ever meet. Good luck getting a cop to snitch on another cop in his department when some sort of suspicious shooting or beating incident comes up. The whole "blue code of silence" and all.

Let him know that you know what he's been doing, and that you'll be watching him. Or encourage one of the kids to tell the popos. It's not snitching if it happened to you.

I know of multiple instances where people find out another person has been messing around with kids and you know what happens? Usually the pedo just gets the shit beat out of them and then they're alienated, cops don't get involved.

Wouldnt it be better for everyone for these people to be just taken out of public circulation altogether?

I generally don't advocate putting people in prisons. You know what happens to pedo's in prison. Bad news.
