This was taken in Pisa, Italy. I've worked out that May 6 was a general strike, and im guessing "Conflitto Sociale" is the name of a group, but the star with the squatters symbol is confusing. I don't see the connection between a general strike and squatters. Can someone whos familiar with the group help me interpret this? Thanks

'Social Conflict'? It seems a little obvious. Newroz is a Kurdish holiday.

While I don't know much about the Italian political scene, I will try to give a short hypothesis. Here in the Netherlands, squatters tend to be leftist. If you squat you are ignoring property rights.
Asking for people to join anti-capitalist strikes makes sense for squatters as they would gain something from it. Squatters tend to be of the lower class, or the lower section of the middle class. Children of the millionaires have no reason to squat.
Well those are my thoughts.

S.A. Newroz is the name of a building or group in Pisa. I searched for Newroz in Pisa italy in google maps and it shows a building with a ton of graffiti on it with red stars, and across the street there is a tag that says No Nazi with the anarchist A

???
Why should children of millionaires have no reason to squat.? Squatting isn't just about housing, it's a pollitical statement as well. I know quit a few squatters who's parrents belong to the upper classes. They don't squat because they couldn't afford a rent, they do so to fight emptyness..
