What left-wing football clubs are there in the UK? Celtic and Liverpool are the only ones I can think of who one could say have a somewhat leftist following, while most seem to be pretty right wing, such as Chelsea.
Are there any noticeable lower league clubs etc. who are left wing? Any known firms attached to clubs who are left wing? Any communists playing in the premier league.
It narks me off how pathetically apolitical UK football is.

I have always thought football in the UK to be predominantly right-wing and racist. Of course there are exceptions, but I think a lot of the "ultra" fans are EDL scum.
Never heard of a left-wing UK team. I guess Liverpool is as close as you would get, just because the city has a history of welcoming Marxism, but even then I wouldn't say they are political akin to teams in Italy, for instance.

Indeed- at Newcastle away this season there were 3 EDL flags in the Sunderland end...

Also check FC United of Manchester which with Celtic are the "best" you can get for leftist.

Yeah it seems that most firms who do actually try and take a political stance are generally right-wing, Loyalist types, I'm not really aware of any English clubs with a left wing following

Lower divison teams can be quite left-wing in football terms

How can you be "left-wing in football terms"? Surely the Revleft standard for a "left-wing football team" is that it's "left-wing" as soon as one guy in the stands is photographed with a red flag, and it has nothing to do with what happens on the pitch?

I wasnt on about what happens on the pitch, nor do I think one fan with a red flag makes a team left wing. What I meant was that, in the UK the majority of the teams support come across as apolitical, so in that respect you can see left wing tendancies in lower league teams. Not very well explained originally I suppose
