What do you think of Star Fucking Hipsters? I personally am not that big of a fan. I love Choking V and attended every LoC show, but Star Fucking Hipsters just doesn't do it for me. They don't seem to have the same feel as the other groups.

They played a show in my town a year ago and it was great. I don't like a lot of their songs but I talked to Stz about Subcomandante Marcos and other such things. They're good live but their weird metal-ish songs are not very good IMO. Their third album "Ska Fucking Hipsters", is coming out soon, so I'm hoping that one will be good

They're good. They're clearly going for a different sound from their other bands and they do it well.

It's weird, I happened to put on "This Wal-Mart Life" as I was writing this and the line "I'm sick of this redundancy" came on  They're nothing particularly original, but they don't really claim to be either, so I'll give em leeway on the lack of inventiveness. Stza's voice can get really annoying at times ("This Wal-Mart Life"). I don't know if the irony is intentional in them being one of the poppiest (in sound) underground punk bands singing about the degrading effects of pop culture. But I do like some of the guitar work, especially on the more metal tracks, and I like Nico's voice and they do write some pretty good pop songs ("Design" and "Immigrants and Hypocrites" are catchy as hell). In short, I'll see em if they play for free, but I wouldn't drop money on it nor am I likely to bother checking out their new album.

I've always loved LOC, but the Star-Fucking Hipsters aren't as good. I know plenty of people who agree but go to their shows just to hear LOC songs
They're Crack Rock Steady, and don't get enough love:

I think the new one was renamed "From the dumpster to the grave". I read on Wikipedia that LoC might make a third installment, but it doesn't seen to be happening. I like death or fight, pretty catchy.
