Are there any socialist countries that will allow Americans to immigrate?

North Korea won't because of the international crap going on.

What about the others still left like Cuba?

As for actually moving to Cuba, I really have no idea. Can you even speak Spanish?

Get in contact with a Cuban Consulate or Embassy.

Also, you may be interested in the Cuban work brigade. This operates out of Canada, however if you get in touch with them perhaps they can help you with U.S. resources.

Why don't you stay in the U.S. and fight the real battle rather than fleeing to Cuba. Oh, and you have more chance of getting into the Oval office dressed as Osama Bin Laden than you do of getting into North Korea.

Well if he goes to Cuba he can tell us how things REALLY are there! As for any sites, I have no idea.

Comrade Marcel beat me to it, but I was going to mention the Cuban work bridages as well. You get to spend up to three weeks in Cuba doing agricultural or other work alongside Cubans while gaining a personal and intimate understanding of Cuba's achievements and resistance to the blockade. Here is a link to one of these brigades called the Ernesto Che Guevara Volunteer Work Brigade. (http://members.shaw.ca/friendship/brigade/) I plan to visit Cuban with a brigade as soon as I graduate from high school. :):cuba:

I understand what you are saying. However, so many people diss socialist countries and the only way for me to speak authoritatively on the subject is to have lived in one or two. If it is as sorry as the western press makes it out to be, perhaps socialism should be dropped, pending the possibility that their poverty may be outside their control (artifically created via blockade, ex. Cuba). If those countries have decent living standards and I can move around freely, I can come back home to the states and say firsthand our leaders are liars (which I personally believe).

It is very sad about North Korea. Yet I understand why they have such a closed society. I doubt that they fear competition from the west through exchange of ideas;they fear CIA undercover work like we have read about in Latin America and Italy. Really, who could blame them?
