Sorry, but I'm going to be consciously opaque here for security reasons.
Some friends have been organizing with some rank and file militants in a large transportation related union (in a big US city) for an upcoming series of actions against austerity. We intend to start pushing for a wildcat social strike as part of a larger demonstration. It seems like there could be the energy to make this happen and we want to put together some literature on this ASAP.
I know such things have happened as recently as the last 5 or 6 years in California and elsewhere. Does anyone have experience and advice in organizing such an action? Can anyone point us to some history of social strikes?
Thanks in advance,
Schwarz
