The USA has violated the international convention that says it's highly prohibited the manipulation of bacteries such as the anthrax.

Bush supports the manipulation of such bacteries.

And now the US is wetting their pants bc they fear the iminet biological war....

hahahaha

come on!

the irony of it is amusing but the idea of it is not

What do you mean?
about having a biological war in US?
its soooooooooooooo unlikely!

Itīs more likely that anthrax germs will harm poor people without antibiotics than rich USA. Releasing the plague is foolish and shows the true nature of those, who releases it.
Hope we ever learn who this is. Using bioweapons is a crime to ALL mankind, not only USA - ironic or not...

i agree with m cin. i'm a canadian and if biological warfare happens in the US its likely to affect us here in canada

Damn... I was going to take a bit of a break from posting on here for a bit... but I must agree with M Cin... a biological war in the US will only be a war against the poor. Those of us ( yes I'm poor) that don't have heath insurince will be the ones to suffer.

I've said this so many times before... that war in itself is a blight on the working class for it is the working class that suffers most in war... it is the working class that is sent to the front lines, and return home in body bags while the beurocrats and the weathy sit behind the lines sending more of us to die for their cause.

What is more ironic is that if the US didnt have the need to be such an "example" they wouldnt be the ones hurting now.
Every action has a reaction....
I wasn't saying that it is ridiculous the idea of a biological war, or anything like that, i was saying that it's such a huge obvious mistake, that should be avoided since the beginning, but nobody ever cared....
no one cares in the US, bc the USA is the "Imperial Leader" of the world....

No one cares in the US? Not anyone?

Ernestito

well, i meant the government, as the "representation" of the people as a nation so....
yeah, no one cares, the "no one look at the causes, people just notice when its too late" type of thing....

Ernestito

but i agree that the war only hurt the poor.
But that`s what the "mentors" of the war want.
To hurt the base, to fuck with the values of the ones that build and polish the power as it is....
you know what I mean?so they will keep building and polishing it as silent cows....
its fucking sad, and I am one of these mammals....

Yea I knew what you ment... I just wanted you to make that clear since I'm in the US and am against my own Government.

Well it seems I can't keep myself off Che-Lives long enough to get some serious studies done.. ::::shaking fist::: damn you people!

But us seriously just this moring I was taking my Envrormental Problems class... and low and behold would you believe it? We just started the "Emerging Desieses" section. Professor Welch said he went to great lengths to spread Anthrax around just so we could have something to talk about in class.... somehow I find that unlikely.... however feal some people in that class are briliant enough to think he's serious.

But anyway... did you know the USSR was producing Anthrax? Yes that's right... and in 1979 Anthrax spores where released acedenally from a military germ resarch laboratory. Seventy nine cases of pulmonary anthrax where reported, and 68 of the victoms died.

Anyone can grow Anthrax... right in their kitchen! However it's difficult to spread. But it's a Bachterium and not a Virus which is easier to spread. So while the use of Anthrax makes it harder to use... it makes it easier to control if you want to contain the infections to the US.

Something the Professor brought up however which is truly frightening... is that several tons of Plutonium has gone missing since the 1950s. While in itself is harmess... radioactive, yes... but not strong enough to penetrate a sheet of paper... however seven pounds of plutonium (the size of one grapefruit) can level Mantattin!

Who is responsible for the spread of Anthrax? It could be anyone taking advantage of the situation... terrorist group or just one nutty individual. Remember the Tylenol scare? That was just one person trying to kill his wife.

What happened to war? I mean, war is never a good thing but at least it used to be most harmful to the warriors. Now, in this age of modern capabilities, war is most likely going to harm the civilian population of the world. I just feel very disappointed in the way this world is going. The further right the governments go, the further right the left tends to go so that they have a chance of being listened to. Like the Labour Party in Britain. The only thing they have left is the National Healthcare. We drift further and further to the right and the fascist ideas of people like Hitler. This means that in the end the only people left standing will be the government and their support teams to re-populate this damn world!

Sorry, I'm ranting.

Seens like they are expecting a disasterous epidemic on hand. GWB has ordered antiibiotics for 24 million ppl. Biological warfare is the dirtiest most deceitful way to fight a war, just for the fact that it cannot be contained. What ever happened to rules of warfare?

Biological warfare has nothing to do with 'modern capabilities'... it was used in WWI... only against soldgers... I remember a teacher in High school in the 80's said that feer of nuclear war was unreasonable... that most likely one day in the future someone will eventualy stoop to biological war against a civilan population. Didn't they use a biological war between Iraq and Iran?

Btw... what's this about Anthrax now in DC? I only saw a glimps of a headline...

Also... what ViktorPravda said about the farther right the govt. goes.. etc... yes! And the thing that affects us on the left in the US in this whole thing, is that now, us on the extreme left are onece again truly alianated... with no real hope of urging any progressive legislation. Will we ever truly have a third party for the working class in America? Looks like we're even farther from it nowdays.

The other night, in a conversation with a friend from England, he said that true leftist ideas and trying to get them accomplished is a 'lost cause' because the left has to move a little right each step to be heard and have a chance to get into power. This guy is Labour Union. He said "it is a lost cause. But, it's good to see someone truly holding on and not giving in." Why does the party play the game the same way as the fascists? What happened to better ideas, more idealism? Are we lost?
