Many of you will will say flat out: "No."
To which I reply: "Just checking."

Well is there a single book out there that can just blow your fucking mind into the stratosphere??? The closest I can think of is Capital volume 1.

Simple answer: No, of course not. If you even have to ask such a silly question, you will never reach genius-level intelligence.
Longer answer: Yes, but I am not finished writing that book and it will probably take another couple years before it gets published. Sorry about that, but all good things come to those who wait. You may be asking why I don't just post mind-blowing tidbits here if I am a stratospheric genius, to which I have no credible answer. Just take my word for it, please. I need people to buy my books.

Yeah, that one works pretty well.

It's called History of Madness by Michel Foucault.
If that doesn't work, try Timequake by Kurt Vonnegut.

Not related to politics, but Douglas Hofstadter's "Gödel Escher Bach" is definitely something you should read. It is somewhat easy to read, very entertaining, and quite enlightening. It is about consciousness, materialism, logic- all kinds of good stuff.

Actually there are some. Not exactly a single book though. Knuth's "The Art of Computer Programming", for example. All the four volumes of it published so far.

I loved atlases as a kid as well. I also used to design new flags and countries, or draw maps of the continents and make new nations on them.

I think atlases appeal to people who aspire to travel the world. I've always liked them.
