They fought for the motherland: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073488/
Come and see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091251/ (Oh,and yes, this is probably one of the best films ever made, but i advise you its a very hard and sad/depressing movie, some scenes are hearth breaking, its not for everyone, but everyone should watch it)

The "Brest Fortress" is also a very good movie, you should see it,even though its not exactly what you are looking for.
Just stay clear of "Enemy at the Gates" kind of movies and its ok.

The Hot Snow (1972)

A heroic drama, based upon the title novel by Yuri Bondarev (novels "Quiet", "The Shore", "The Choice", novella "Battalions Ask for Fire").
The film recounts the story of one battle of the Great Patriotic War, the battle on the Volga. The authors focus their attention on the fate of Soviet soldiers and officers in just one battery, who, at the price of heroic efforts and their own lives, did not let the enemy tanks through.

Eugene,Little Eugene and Katyusha.

Touching story about love of a young romantic man (Zhenia), who is a soldier of Guard Mortar Division (Division of "Katusha" Reactive Mortars) and a girl-telegraphist (Little Zhenia) at the last months of WW II. Watching the movie you see the war by eyes of indeed a Moscow boy who being a soldier is out of war in his dreams. He does not let the war into his soul making feats of arms and not understanding this. The last winter of the greatest war is over, a new spring with new dreams comes on, and it seems that all troubles left behind and only best days of love and happiness wait for Zhenia and Little Zhenia, but even the last days of the war can be tragic.

As earlier mentioned, Come And See is a classic. There's a lot of stuff that stands out with that movie, but the camera work is probably the best I've ever seen. It's almost like they had someone to choreograph the camera operator throughout the film.

As earlier mentioned, Come And See is a classic.

If the question in OP would be as "What is the best film about WW2 ever made in the USSR?" I would agree with you undoubtedly.
