Day 1: wasnt so bad until the begining of the afternoon, felt like shit, minor headache, gosh i would kill for a candy bar right fucking now.

Fruit is good for sugar cravings, which might help.

it help a little, but with the quantity of refined sugar i usually consume on a daily basis, removing all the side effect linked to my current withdrawal symptoms would require a gigantic amount of fruit.

Hmm fair enough. Maybe you should try eating more wholegrains? They take longer to digest so the energy gets released over a longer time period. I find that wholegrain stuff tastes better anyway, as well as containing more nutrients, but I think most people prefer white stuff.

I agree with you Quail. I strongly prefer wholegrain.

Good luck cutting out all that sugar shit. It's tough when you realize how much of the stuff you eat contains it. xP

I stopped drinking diet and regular sodas 3 weeks ago. Its still very painful and the cravings are overwhelming. But I did lose 4 lbs unintentionally that 1st week. Apparently it doesnt matter if its diet or not, all the other ingredients are cause for weight gain.

And give you explosive diarrhea if consumed in high enough quantities.

Does it directly make you store more fat? Or is it more just because you're tricking your body into thinking it's had some sugar so you end up eating more crap later?

I drink WAY too much diet cola, especially when I'm revising. I need the caffeine to keep me focused!

Its beccause artificial sugar (aspartame) tend to off balence the way your body manage things, and you end up accumulating more fat while eating than you normaly should.

Plus its not a verry good replacement beccause it dosnt stimulate the same pleasure zone than normal sugar, so you probably end up drinking even more of this diet crap, helping it to off balence the way your body manage things even more.

Really? I drink diet soda and thought it was a lot better to drink than regular. xP Its better to drink less regular soda than diet soda. Artificial sweeteners and high sodium makes you gain weight and spikes your appetite. You end up eating more food and that counteracts the intended less calorie intake you are trying to achieve.

I have substituted this product for my diet orange and root beer sodas. It comes in pineapple, mango, which is amazing, and watermelon.

And I add Stevia sweetener to it instead of artificial sweeteners. Stevia is natural and comes from a plant and has 5 calories to a serving. I get my caffeine from green and white tea.

Maybe you're just exaggerating it. Like just because you have a headache doesn't mean that it's from sugar abstinence.

I guess I should stop consuming sugar. Though I really don't outside of like sodas at restaurants once every 1-2 weeks, and like ketchup and cookies sometimes. I used to get 2 candybars (well a pack of starburst and a bag of those "fruit snacks") to keep awake in class but haven't in like a month.

Dude i already gave up sugar in the past, and its exactly what happen.

Muscular pain and headache for a week or so.

IF you consider the insane amount of chocolate and sweet i eat everyday (1 bottle of chocolate milk, 3 big chocolate bar a day, 1 or 2 energy drink a week) those symptoms are perfectly normal.

been a week already, i feel its finally gone, no withdrawal effect anymore, and no desire to consume more sugar. Now, the objective is not to go on a binge next time i got a personnal issue about my job.

I've been drinking nothing but water for months and cut out foods with high sugar content. My snacks basically consist of natural popcorn, dry peanuts, and carrots/celery with hummus.

I had no effects whatsoever other than losing weight and feeling much better immediately. I can only imagine what you people consume in order to get those effects.

3 big chocolate bar and 2 chocolate milk drink a day.
and a ton of other sugary shit like smarties, iced tea.

take a lot of sugar to numb the pain.
