American Democrats/Social Democracy Parties

Since for many years the American Democrats/Social Democracy Parties have supported a Progressive Income Tax System Welfare Social Security and Universal Healthcare are these all just reforms to regulate Capitalism to benefit the Capitalists to stop a revolt or a revolution from happening how does this help the Capitalist Class ?

My opinion is that the Democrats and Social Democrats help the Capitalists more than the Republicans and the Right Wing Conservatives and Libertarians do. With Right Wingers in power Socialism could take power more easily because the Right Wing supports Income Inequality and wants the Poor to get Poorer while the Rich get Richer and wants to the Capitalists to run everything from Healthcare to Social Security. Democrats and Social Democrats just make Capitalism look nice look good look less evil by regulating Capitalism Republicans and other Right Wingers like Libertarians just make Capitalism look meaner more evil more cruel by unregulating Capitalism.

On the other hand, look at what Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan have done to the workers' movements in their respective countries. They both smashed the unions and wreaked economic havoc upon the working class, and the movement hasn't even come close to recovery in either the US or the UK since.

Right-wing governments are not good for the revolutionary left. We want the working class to occupy as strong a position as possible in the run-up to an overthrow off capitalism - and, for all their flaws, social democrats at least give us that.

Well, this goes under the assumption that the worse things are for working people, the more radical and militant they'll be. This isn't true. Look at the France and look at America. France has a higher quality of life and has a much, much stronger working class than America does.

But are the democrats any better or worse than the Republicans? I'd say neither, really. The reforms they make might be nice but they're not attacks on capital. It's just a restructuring.
