Delhi is basically the rape capital of the world and sexual assault is fairly common place there so they have a ladies only carriage on every train. Every other carriage is unisex though.

It's still a fairly random looking assortment of slapping and yelling though.

Yeah, women are shoving them out, but the idea of gender segregated wagons came from power structures. In the context of the situation, it's what the social meaning of a man getting in there likely means.
