I'm Ducky. I take photos. I fancy myself a revolutionary in the sense that perhaps my work will open eyes. I try to capture the humanity of those subjugated by the system.

I don't subscribe to any particular school of thought, choosing instead to take what I can from all of them, and apply as necessary. I am not a fanatic - I am too radical for the mainstream, too mainstream for the radicals. I hate the system and find it oppressive, but choose to do part of my work within it, to dismantle the kyriarchy.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and there is a strong leftist movement here, by virtue of being a "liberal" city - not so liberal that covert (and even overt) racism doesn't run rampant, classism doesn't exist, and hate crimes and bias incidents aren't still a dangerous reality for a portion of the population by virtue of their spiritual choice, skin color, or sexual orientation.

I'm also opinionated and verbose. I'm not offended by TL;DR.
