View Full Version : barcelona: a combative may day regained

The police arrest several comrades and infiltrate the demo as radical elements to provoque them to charge against the demonstrators.
"Before long, a small crew broke out of the march and attacked a bank with hammers. Except for a few Stalinists, everyone in the crowd cheered, from students to grandparents."
Those were police in disguise!
the whole march was actually police
WTF are you talking about????????????????
No, the whole demo was not of police, that crew where actually undercover police that attack the bank so the police could charge and arrest people.
did you read the article? the march continued for hours and hundreds of people trashed hundreds of shops and banks with the crowd of thousands staying with them and supporting it, with even the anarchosyndicalist union holding banners to protect the march. so either all of those people were cops, or maybe it was just regular people marching and attacking? which seems more likely to you?
So the sanish alternative media also have no idea of what happened or what?

I bet that the ones that wrote the article that you posted have never set foot on Barna...
And I guess that the CGT (Then only anrcho sydicalist union in the demo had also no clue)

has some photos of undercovers. they were there... ok, they are always there, that does not make all people who engage in actions cops, nor is there evidence here of the cops carrying out actions besides arrests
http://www.cjc.es/?p=6522
marxists-leninists calling anarchists cops for direct action? hardly new, and even they don't try to paint the whole thing as cop orchestrated to attack the march
the other article you posted is a report back that says basically the same as the op, with less detail- there were lots of people, some actions and some arrests.
So nobody knows who this crew was, everybody had confirmed that it was full of undercoer police and regular police, that no organization have decided to make these actions, hammering banks and so on. Everybody sais that because these uncontrolled people (out of the blue they came) the police charged, and the undercovers and regular policemen arrest people. Dunno, but for me is, like we said in spain, blanco y en en botella...
7 years had the march took place and never had this happened.
The organization said in previous assemblies that the march was pacific and that they have nothing to do with the actions
The undercover police took part in the riots.
according to the first article there were actions (paint against buildings) occuring almost from the start and the police did not charge until much later, after much more than a bank had been attacked. so did none of this happen? or did the undercover cops cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to arrest 15 people?
The attack was because some containers that the people where pussing, and in spain is common to paint stuff in the demos.

It's hilarious how some people on this board believe it's necessary for 'actions to happen' for the police and undercover cops to assault a march and arrest people.
This year's first of May in the Netherlands hadn't even moved 100 meters (literally) before being boxed-in and assaulted by riot cops and undercovers, resulting in several people with broken bones and concussions. And this was because of banners that were 'too long', people wearing sunglasses, which counts as 'face protection' somehow and there being a bucket of glue for wheatpasting in the march. All must have been 'agents provocateurs' I guess
I mean the march was boxed in like this from the start:

And got this:

Anyone who believes the police need an excuse other than 'suspicion' to assault or arrest is a clown.
