Walter Issacson, Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors struck back at RT News, Telesur of Venezuela and more channels, charging them with being public enemies of the US media machine.
I know that RT News has some really libertarian leaning people on their shows but at the same time, RT News does feature Marxists and Leftists that are also left out of the mainstream news.
It is pro-Russian but at least the news organization offers a counter-argument to a bunch of US/UK/Israeli lies in the media.
What do you guys make of this? There is actually a counter force out there to US media!
Russia, China and Venezuela are investing money into media communications in order to counter the lies of the US media and UK's BBC.
Any thoughts?

TeleSur provides some damn good coverage. It's a great counter-balance globally and allows events to be covered in a way (or at all) that wouldn't be found on any other mainstream network. I think with the likes of Russia and China funding these projects, as well as the ALBA governments' own interests at play, we can't take anything said as face value, but more often than not it will show the side of the story most relevant to the people.
"Enemies of the US" my ass. "Oh no, we can't control every information distribution apparatus and export our neo-colonial vision of the world!" Something tells me that the old architecture of imperialism is starting to fail the United States.

BBC changed to right wing is big shame to bbc. I read few months ago in Guardian that USA fund BBC to educatedly viewers that tells a lot of how society poison. I am ok with BBC4 radio but BBC radio 2 oh dear dear, sounds like Fox version right wing.

RT News, while a mixed bag, has some of the best coverage exposing the imperial ventures of the US and the West.
They do give a lot of attention to right wing NWO conspiracy nuts, but they also give room to a lot of good leftists that are shunned by the mainstream media.
Noam Chomsky, Michael Parenti, Danny Schecter, etc.

Yes, if only the RT news they show was actually shown in Russia. I hate RT news with a passion as its utter hypocrisy, you never hear about racist attacks in Russia, the discrimination that is basically endorsed by the government etc yet they're constantly running stories about discrimination of minorities in the US which of course is a good thing but then never once mentioning the fact there is armed thugs running wild across many Russian cities attacking and brutally murdering minorities and anti-fascists.
Its the same with other news channels such as Al Jazzera and Press TV.

Very true. I know that RT News is just a news outlet to counter US imperial propaganda but they still provide an outlet for voices that are largely marginalized in the States.
