Well I have been saying for long time now that there is shift to conservative and now it it is confirmed in this election they got a majority .

But on up site for the past 10 years there is also a shit to NDP and this election was like wow they now a major opposition party.I never thought they would get this many votes it took me by surprised :w00t:

I'm so shocket the NDP got such high vote count.

I'm so happy the people are not voting liberal for the past 10 years they have had a week leader and full of corruption not say the Neoliberalism policies of the 90's.

Good that every election they get less and less votes and this election they got so low they are screaming !! I hope next election they get less !!

Than they will have to move more to the left and get a good stong leader if they want to get voted in .

The down side is Canada is not center any more and split from left NDP and right the conservative .

The battle lines are being drawn. All over the developed world everyone is moving away from the center.
Eh, I guess it's to be expected in a capitalist crisis. Compromise is for the well fed.

Canadian are awfully centrist my friend, and the only reason why you got a conservative governement right now is beccause the liberal failed at being centrist enough for the center-right folks.

the only reason why there are so many center right liberal in canada is beccause those folks obviously dont have a fucking clue how much shit the conservatives are gonna wreck during their reign.

the only way the conservatives could get away with an horrible 4 year mendate and being re-elected would be to use skillfull public manipulation, and they are probably doing that.

The conservatives have gained, the leftists have gained, and the centrist liberals have lost. Everyone is moving away from the center.
That doesn't surprise me at all. Capitalism is in crisis. People face the threat of losing everything. Moderation and compromise are for the well fed, not the struggling.

The leftists have gained more though, this is a good thing, better a real left opposition and a conservative in power than a centrist in power and right opposition.

I see this as a possible opening. There are a guaranteed four years of Conservatives pushing their usual policies with the NDP posturing their social democratic policies. That means that there could be a new crop of people driven to the left by the disillusionment of the right without being disappointed by the underperformance of the NDP. These are exactly the type of people who can be talked to by the revolutionary left. Those who know what they hate without the placation of the centre-left mainstream parties. If there can be an effective education/recruiting campaign, I can see a significant growth the Canadian left.
