Jam-packed trains are enough to make anyone feel unpatriotic. He failed to adequately appreciate material reality.

I actually watched it even though I hate idiotic chants like "USA! USA!". He seemed like a complete moron.

Yeah, he is- note how he gets derisive when no one follows along. Even in his description he writes off the people making fun of him as "scum-bag assholes":

Attempted the first "post-Osama" day. I'm FULLY aware of how stupid I sound. Frankly I admit I became "the crazy guy on the train" for an excruciating minute. I wasn't asking for money or ruining anyone's day. I obviously went about this the wrong way, though I still don't see anything wrong with a little community patriotism particularly on such a day. I'm not really the asshole I sound like on the video, I guess I was just over-enthused and then became frustrated that not one other passenger was as thrilled as I was that we had finally scored this victory for justice on behalf of the victims of 9/11. Here's some irony: all the commenters saying awful things about me would do better to listen to the timeless lyrics of Michael Jackson and look at the man in the mirror because you sound like scumbag assholes to me. Of course, you probably aren't in real life. The internet has a way of making people behave awfully vicious towards guiltless strangers. Oh well, Bin Laden is still fish food, baby! USA!

I just like it because of this assumption that all New Yorkers are this monolithic patriotic machine when it comes to 9/11. Lot of that came to the foreground before with the so-called "Ground Zero" mosque. At the end of the day people are probably going to prioritize other, material things (rough time at work, waking up early, crammed in a train, etc) over idiotic things like the patriotic sentiment that goes along with USA USA USA junk.

Either that or nobody likes to be shouted at first thing in the morning, lulz...

I love this for so many reasons, but mainly the fact that he was taping his own idiocy, obviously thinking that he was going to capture some wonderful patriotic moment and it completely and utterly blew up in his face.
