I went to Italy this past 2 weeks and I noticed a lot of antifa graffiti around the cities, especially in Florence. In Venice I saw something that said "30 anni di Fascismo" which translates to 30 years of fascism. Does anyone know what happened 30 years ago in italy that relates to this?
Also in Florence I saw "zona antifa" on a wall outside a hotel. In an apartment complex near Rome there was "antifascista militante" with a star. In pisa there was a hammer and sickle, "Fuck austerity", and a group called Social Conflict tagged all over the place with something about the sixth of may (which is the date of a general strike or something)
Also in Florence there was this gem

Is there a big problem with fascists in italy, or is this just a bitterness about the italians fascist past?

Also happy may day everyone

im polish and ive lived in italy for over six years. unfortunately in italy there are lots of fascists, and i had problems lots of times because of my opinion on tht and my antifa convinctions. but on the other hand youth is getting more and more aware of the problem and is trying to fight tht narrow-minded part. usually fascists are or old angry grannies, tht havent realised yet tht war is over and we moved forward or rebelious kids going around and trying to behave "nasty".

Italians are very Fascist. Even up until this day, they still hold the will of Mussolini.
