Yes, most countries get to celebrate May Day, or International Workers Day, in celebration of the heroic struggles by working people around the world for better conditions. However,I have learned that the United States codified "Loyalty Day" into law some time ago. You can find it on Cornell University Law school:
Title 36 > subtitle I> Part A > Chapter 1 > § 115
The purpose is: "a special day for the reaffirmation of loyalty to the United States and for the recognition of the heritage of American freedom."
President Barak Obama has issued this statement, supporting Loyalty Day:
You can find the address on whitehouse.gov
My question is: "Do any other states in the world have a "convenient" day of reaffirming loyalty to the state on this particular day?"
