That may be a bit heightist, so what if he was 5'3"?
Even though he was hot, in his younger days, there other things making one attractive, such as a revolutionary Marxist approach.I'm sorry but he part where he had most of Lenin's CC killed is a bit of a turn off.

He was actually called the "young man with the Burning Eyes" and regarded in his youth as attractive by some of the women Stalin met during his early years.

......Well guess what

He is the most wonderfull person we "Stalinists" have ever seen. :) And, yes. I have known how tall he was.
As to you making fun of Stalin:
Prison had long ago ceased to hold any terrors for Stalin, who offered the perfect example of how a revolutionary should conduct himself in such conditions.... Lenin prepared a series of letters to be sent to young and inexperienced comrades in jail, enjoining them to devote their time to the study of economic theory or to writing on political subjects. "Avoid inactivity, for when a man allows itself to become utterly bored with prison life he is most likely to weaken and lose faith in his cause" was the theme of these remarkable missives. While confined at Baku, Stalin resumed his old routine of proselytising and study, making the most of all opportunities to gain assistants against the time he should return to his interrupted work.
As regards this particular confinement we are more fortunate than usual, for a fellow prisoner, the Menshevik Vereschak, in a book attacking Bolshevism, makes detailed mention of Stalin's tactics in jail. Vereschak condemns Stalin because he refused to limit himself to association with the other politicals, preferring to maintain friendly relations with all the prisoners, including many convicted of robbery, forgery and other crimes....
in the same book we find a striking passage showing one more facet of Stalin's character. It appears that a new company of soldiers arrived to act as temporary guards at the Baku jail and began their work by compelling the despised "politicals" to run the gauntlet of two lines of soldiers who belabored the unfortunate men with rifle butts. "When it came to the turn of Koba Djugashvili, he walked slowly down the line, his eyes fixed on a book. Not one of the soldiers struck him. Even the critical Vereschak felt compelled to pay tribute to the personal courage of an adversary.

I bet that if you have met Stalin, that dwarf of 5'3, face in face, he would have made you cry like a baby in a matter of few seconds.

I could easily kick that guy's ass.
I can only imagine that...
He was decisive, ruthless, and supremely confident. Yet he was also brave. This is usually overlooked by those who seek to ascribe every possible defect to him. Even his detractor Vereshchak conceded that Dzhughashvili carried himself with courage and dignity in the face of the authorities. On Easter Day in 1909 a unit of soldiers burst into the political block to beat up all the inmates. Dzhughashvili showed no fear. He resolved to show the soldiers that their violence would never break him. Clutching a book in his hand, he held his head high as they laid into him.

Well all the Staliniods on this site brag about how sexy Stalin was, and one even admitted to masturbating to the thought of Stalin.
I'm not saying he was a bad person because he was short (He still was a bad person), all I'm saying is that he's not worthy of boasting about when it comes to looks.

I find it amusing how I didn't even say he killed anyone.
Oh, maybe it was because he destroyed the worker's democracy,
or perhaps it was because he befriended Nazi Germany and Handed Over Communists to the Fascists, or Maybe it's because He dismissed the international brigade because of his friendship with Nazi Germany,
Nah, he was a great guy.

Oh, maybe it was because he destroyed the worker's democracy,
The worker's "democracy" started degenerating already in Lenin's times. If it ever existed. The idea that Stalin willingly turned Soviet Union in whatever you think it became is absolutely ungrounded in any real historical facts and shows your utter failure at using Marxist analysis when looking at historical processes. The destruction of worker's "democracy" has more to do with the isolation of backward SU from developed capitalist countries leading to gradual degeneration of Revolution and rise of powerfull party bureacracy that in the end strangled the Revolution and destroyed SU, than with any willfull attempt by big, bad motherfucker Stalin to sabotage a socialist project. Your opinion about Stalin is childlish, utterly ignorant and devoid of historical reality. I suggest books by J.Arch Getty and Robert Thurston for better understanding of Stalin and his destruction of workers's "democracy".
or perhaps it was because he befriended Nazi Germany
Are you fucking jocking or are you seriously so ignorant that you don't know thar Ribbentrop-Molotov pact was a non-aggression agreement, not an alliance??? How old are you? In 1938 Soviet army was 2 million strong, in 1941 it had 6 million man! So, in a matter of 3 years, the size of the armed forces tripled!!! If Stalin didn't postpone the war by two years thanks to that agreement, the Soviet Union (and the rest of the world) would be past time. Not to mention the fact that all up to the august 1939, he was constantly trying to make a broad anti-Hitlerite alliance, yet he was constantly refused by western liberals that I suppose you love so much.
Nah, he was a great guy.
He was. No matter what you think of him, he is one of the persons that will always remain dear to every real Communist...

have some humour bruh, this is chit chat
I don't think there's anything wrong with a guy being 5'3" (athough he'd actually be shorter than me for a change. I have too many tall friends...). It's the social norm for men to be taller than women, and I'd say it's mostly due to our cultural standards of beauty that people think that short men are unattractive. It probably comes from the idea that men are supposed to be big and strong and protect their women.
Actually no, not really.
I've seen posters depicting Stalin as a giant, this mighty, god-like figure.
There's no problem with him being 5'3, but it should be a reminder to some people, that he was still just a human.
He might have been a short man,but he was a political giant.

My granddad's generation in India was around the 5'3" mark because they had poor diets with not enough protein and they were perhaps 'middle peasants' to use Russian terminology. Their kids had better diets so they became taller. My dad is 5'9" but when he was 15 (around 1975) he weighed 45kgs and that was considered normal.

Yeah the difference is quite astonishing. An average male urban worker in India is two inches taller than his rural counterparts. On the other hand, you will seldom see a rural or urban elite who is less than 5' 8". The revolution will make us tall. :D

I love the way some people seem to be implying that there is something wrong with being short. Great to see RevLeft tolerance at work again.
Incidentally Stalin was a peasant and they were traditionally short, as were miners and people in various other professions. Actually on average the working class were traditionally shorter than the middle and upper-class (due to their lifestyle and cuisine).
And who cares what he looked like? Though I have met some Stalin fan-girls and fan-boys who were only interested in him due to his looks, most Marxist-Leninists are interested in him purely due to his connection to the ideology they find best suited for them in their goal of bringing about happiness and prosperity for mankind.
As for him being only human; the Gaelic demigod Cuchulain was short so height isn't a good indication of deification or mortality. So who knows...? ;)
This thread should be closed,as much of the things in chit-chat.
