I lately had an unpleasant episode regarding my nationality. Me and my family are polish and been living in italy for 6 years now. We've been receiving notes sticked on our car (with polish licence plate) with threts like "leave our country you dirty communists, Wojtyla and polish mafia ruined this country (*ekhm* ... italian mafia is infact not harmful at all...)" and tht kind of stuff. Well, firstly we kinda got allarmed... you know, dont really want to drink food with a straw for the rest of my life because of some nazi-skin kids or tht... But eventually we red-handed the guy and the worrying thing is tht it wasnt some under age snot, or a narrow minded fascist granny.. it was an adult man, with a suit, family, car and tht kind of stuff...
It's really worrying how people, educated people tht maybe should at least have an idea of the real state of things, are racist and discriminatory most of times without even a real reason :/ sterotypes are killing the progress. well, of course i don't mind being called a communist, but u know what i mean :p
have you ever been in such a situation? how would u react?

You say this man is "educated"? sounds like ignorance in a suit to me.

well, of course by educated here i mean, probably done a posh uni and stuff. i do realize tht effectively is just an ignorant dumbass showing off his diplomas like it was the evidence of his superiority. What i meant was that there are lots of people, that do know things, have studied and stuff and still stay convinced about their racist, nazist etc convinctions. It would be easier to forgive an under age kid or a superstitious granny, as they havent had a chance to get aware of things, as i believe tht most of people with a little more of knowledge would change their opinions and become more tolerant.
