Hello all. I suppose I did things a little out of order and went straight to posting on the other forums rather than properly introducing myself here first. Firstly, I like to say how refreshing this board is. For a while I posted on artofmanliness.com (I don't know if anyone's familiar), which I found interesting. What got to me was the rampant militant conservatism and anti-intellectualism. Ugh.
I'm 21, soon to be 22. I live in southern California where I'm an undergrad English creative writing major. I'm a poet. I'm very interested in philosophy and political philosophy in particular.
I think I'm really going to enjoy this forum. And thanks for the warm welcomes I've already received.
