My mum has a couple of rabbits, they are house rabbits so they run about like little dogs or something. Friendly little things. Used to have a cat too but it ran across the road to another family, I guess they had tastier cat food.

Talk about your pets and post pics and stuff.

I don't have any pets. I have a one year old child, so pets probably aren't the best idea. When my son sees my grandma's cat he gets really excited, but he's too young to realise that animals are alive, so he can't really stroke her or anything.

My mum has a couple of rabbits, they are house rabbits so they run about like little dogs or something. Friendly little things. My father also had some rabbits, but that was when he was a kid, so he sure as hell wasn't allowed to bring them in the house (this was in the 50's). He also once bought a domesticated magpie, but unfortunately it had the same name as his grandfather (my great grandfather).

When he found out he thought he was being mocked and broke the bird's neck, before my dad could explain that he hadn't given it the name.

We had some cats when I was a kid, which were ok. My only pet as an adult has been my best friend's cat, when she lived with me. It destroyed all the mats in the house by urinating on them, but was otherwise nice.

I used to have a rabbit named Louie and a guinea pig named Kiwi. Louie passed away in 2006 and Kiwi died the day after Christmas last year.

I have a 13 year old bench lab. I don't think he will be around much longer though. Will probably put him down soon since he seems to be in pain. :(

For real. He's really nice but not as smart as my last dog. Just as swag though.

I used to have all sorts of pets when I was a kid. Rabbits, chickens, a pig, etc. I used to name them too. Until I learned later in life my mom and grandparents were just keeping them around long enough for us to eat for dinner, and that was the reason they were being "put down" so much.

Poor Gigante. (He was actually a she, but damn she was a big ass chicken.) And to all the others. You were tasty.

Now I just have a cat.

I agree. My childhood dog was a german shepherd (from ages 5-18). That dog was awesome.

Indeed. My dog is the prettiest dog on earth. She needs a bath though.

(I would also like to note that those pictures are not my pets, to save any confusion)

Four cats. One who is old and spazzes out on occasion. One who is absolutely sweet and doesn't really do anything wrong. One who is scared of everything that moves and pisses on the carpet whenever she gets mad. And one that won't stop scratching the couches and jumping on shit but he's so adorable its hard to stay mad at him. I could go on. They are a handful.

Cat of 8 years and dog corgi of 2 years. Corgi loves chasing the laser pointer and running in circles outside like it's herding sheep.

I think we all feel that way about our childhood pets... I grew up with a golden retriever named Daisy that's still bittersweet to think about.

She with my other Beagle:

Fuckin' beagles, man. I've been acquainted with quite a few over the years and not one of them was ever short on personality.

Aw dude, I want a Pembroke so bad... I'd love something bigger but alas, I live in an apartment so no go. But, as any corgi owner will tell you, they're not small, they're just short. Which kind is yours?

Four dogs:
- Belgian Malinois named Stella (former police dog; female)
- Siberian Husky named Mahpiyah (rescued from a puppy mill; male; name is Lakotah for "rain cloud")
- Malinois-Husky mix named Gypsy (the above two dogs' daughter; looks like a German Shepherd)
- Rottweiler named Kola (still believes she is a lap dog, even at over 100 lbs.; name is a Lakotah familiar for a male's best or closest friends, similar to "mate" or "pal")

One cat: a 17-year-old tuxedo cat named Geronimo, who was raised around ferrets and fights like one.

A chocolate labrador and a very petite cat that are generally family pets. The cat has brought in all sorts recently, as well as the usual mice and voles etc. like bats, moles, a massive rat, a pregnant mouse (left two fetuses :(), and a weasel. I also have a 12-year-old corn snake. And until about a week ago I had another albino corn snake but he died (he was only 7).

Greyish ocicat Named Hatch. That cat's a freak but I love him.
Orange maincoon named Merlin. Fluffy as hell and a real sweetheart.
Pure Grey cat named Mittz. She has seven toes on both of her front paws, hence the name.
An 11 year old Mutt (part border collie part like six other breeds) named Grady. Greatest dog I've ever met.
2 year old Corgie named Mattie. She looks like a smaller version of Grady, eats everything, and barks if you move too fast.

3 Koi fish and 2 chinchillas. The chinchillas are freaking adorable. Attached pic of one of them. This is the one who is obviously an evil genius in disguise, just waiting for the right moment to get out of his cage...

I've got a cat named "Cat". Other names include "Kitty-cat", "Cat-o" and similar derivations from the original.
I can't be bothered to post a pic, but most of the people say she's ugly, but I adore her. And think she's really cute.
