Are We Poltictal Scientists?

Are Leftists/Marxists/etc basically Political Scientists? Therefore we have knowledge (as science means) how political systems work unlike liberals/conspiracy theorists/etc do (since they can be describe as part of the system itself)?

It depends on the definition of Political Science which you are using. In a very literal sense such as the one which you have outlined as your criteria for meeting the application of the term, then yes most any proper Marxist would also in turn be a political science. Generally though, when applied in academia and in most any developed western society the field refers to understanding the literal mechanics of democratic government and deals heavily in the specific details associated with such. And as there does not have to be overlap between an expansive base of knowledge in relation to the limited field of western political structures and general Marxist thought, the two titles are not inherently tied together in the fashion which you make them out to be.
