Hello comrades. My name is Lee. I live in the SE of the United States. I am a beginning Marxist. I began to discover Marxism and Socialism when I read a biography on a wonderful man named Ernesto Guevara. Since then I've read on different Communist/Socialist/Marxist/etc.. I was raised in a lower middle class family. The typical "farm boy" but with a wanting of equality. My dad is a miner and my mom is a bus driver. My views have always been oppressed by the American teachings, sometimes going as far as being told to keep my sh*t to myself. I'm tired of being silent and I wish for social equality. So I hope to contribute as much as I can to the site in valuable discussion and I hope to gain even more knowledge. Thank you for reading this. Viva la revolucion!

Welcome and remember there is no one single leftist ideology, like any other group of people leftists disagree on many things and so if someone tells you an idea that rubs you the wrong way just remember that what that person says is probably not representative of what all leftists think and some people might disagree with that person. There are a diversity of ideologies one the left and a diversity of worldviews.
