Hi comrades.
I used to be a crypto-socialist (in the sense that I am a socialist but I used to keep it a secret in fear of being persecuted by the now dissolved State Security). Now after the Egyptian revolution (soft coup d'etat?) it is safe to be a socialist in Egypt again.
I hope that I learn from you (and maybe you learn from me) as much as possible.

Hi.
How do you feel about the events unfolding in Egypt?
I have mixed feelings about it. The uprising started as a popular revolution and then the workers in Egypt (especially those in Al Mahalla) started going on strikes and a real labor revolution was about to take place. However, the army secretly issued a law criminalizing strikes and protests in order to suppress the labor revolution as it would affect his investments.
I am still feeling optimistic. The Egyptians are starting to teach themselves about politics and the workers (especially those of Al Mahalla, again :D) will not let their rights be compromised again. I know how persistent they are and I trust their struggle will be fruitful.
Darn, I need to work on my English.

Welcome, comrade!
How are things progessing (regressing?) in Egypt? I just heard about the recent May 27 demonstrations, do you think they have the potential to carry a truly socialist program? What's the situation like? Revolutionary? Reactionary?
What's the general mood/feeling of the people?
