Let's discuss something that seems to be a cliche to me: Humanity gets more progressive socially as time goes on. Universal Franchise from Limited Franchise, Pan-continental treaties after the framework of tribal warfare, laws enshrining due process instead of arbitration based on how the King was feeling that day. These examples are ingrained in our consciousness, but this might only be a lengthy trend, stagnating later in this century.
Technology might progress, we might be able to do things we never imagined today in a mere 20 years, but our society won't change to accommodate those whom we discriminate against today to have the same freedoms the majority has with these new technologies.
This sounds depressing, yeah. But help me out, what kind of technologies can you see that in the future, despite them changing society forever, won't be changing our collective prejudices?
tl;dr: Cultural C-C-C-Combo Breaker!
