I'm fairly sure that you should only be prevented from getting on a plane if you have, say, weapons or a bomb. I'm fairly sure that no mater how much of an ultra-McGuyver you are you'll have difficulty hijacking or blowing up a plane using a t-shirt.

Some of these shouldn't let you to be allowed on a plane, but others are just ridiculous.

The banning of the first four is ridicilous. And the banning of the arabic one was offensive. The fifth is one I can understand slightly, and the one "With I Have A Bomb" (though why would a real bomber do that?). The one with the map was funny and souldn't have been banned. The same again for the "Don't Touch My Junk" ones... So far only one was slightly understandable. May give up.... my net is taking too long to load anyway.

#6 the fake bomb vest is a legit denial, because it's a facsimile. Can't carry a fake gun either. I once had the idea to take aluminum foil and cut out the outline of a gun, glue it to a piece of cardboard at put it in my carry-on (pre-9-11).
#7 Is actually against the rules. They post that even joking about bombs will get you detained, and that is pre-9-11.

The rest are totally allowable. Freedom of speech, good jokes. I mean, the political ones especially. What if you just had an Obama 2012 t-shirt?

Its not the same thing, in the case of bearing arms, your constitutional right might put other people dirrectly at risk, having a gun in a high pressure plane is something verry dangerous, not beccause of terrorists, but beccause of the danger of an accident.

A guy wearing a t-shirt expressing their opinions isnt a threat to anyone.

The 3-1-1 rule never made sense to me. I know too much about chemistry and explosives. A 1 quart bag filled with containers of 3.4oz (100ml) of jells and fluids. Seal the bag at home, clean it off so their chemical swipes don't detect anything. It's just silly. The rule won't stop anyone. That's almost three quarters of a liter of chemicals (volume lost from shape of bottles)!

I think letting people going into planes with that kind of t-shirt would be a good thing, people would learn that folks wearing weird or stupid t-shirt are not to be feared.

Each time a guy wearing a t-shirt like that is stopped at the airpôrt security, its a victory for those who blew up the WTC, beccause you demonstrate to them that scaring people is an effective tactic.
