Seeing Castro rarely grants interviews, I thought it would be cool to have them listed in one place, like right here! I still havent been able to pull the Barbra Walters interview transcripts yet. Does anyone have that particular interview available?

I do remember her saying he was one of the most charming men she has ever met. And I beleive she did interview him twice, one back in the early 70s and one in 2002.

Heres the one he did with playboy.

Thanks for that! It's a great article. I'd never seen it before.

Here's a long 1992 interview with Castro and Tomas Borge. Castro gives his views on stuff he hasn't talked about much elsewhere, including homosexuality and Stalin.

Part 1 (http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1992/19920602)
Part 2 (http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1992/19920603)
Part 3 (http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1992/19920604)
Part 4 (http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1992/19920605)
Part 5 (or 6? labelling's unclear. If this is 6, part 5 is missing.) (http://lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro/1992/19920607)

Severian, that was beautiful! I think that interview caught spirit of Castro, and how simular in his love for his ppl and country was to Che's. Can you imagine the effects the 2 of them would have had on the world, had Che stayed alive and had ample resources?

Here is a link with many speeches Castro made, most of them recent. What a find!

Here are two links I've just found:

Sometimes the interviewers can be dumb; but it is always Fidel's answers that shine through as they are clever and argumentative and quite beautiful.

When the remains of Che n his comerades were brought back from bolivia in 97, there was a week of offical mourning.

I think it was in the Plaza de Revolucion, where Che's remains were on display for 2days. Fidel apparently made an uncharacteristically short speech, about 15 minuites long, which was very emoitional.

I have only ever read a few lines of what he said, does any one know the full speech or a link to it please??
