Well I was interested in brass knuckels not knives and they're always illegal..
knives can be bought here plenty, but since you asked:

Knives are illegal if you carry them and the blade is larger than 20 cm, if they are sharpened at 2 sides or found in a situation 'that doesn't require a knife' (in a pub for instance),though there's is an exeption if you have them at home for decorating purposes.. (swords and axes can be bought as well) they have to be blunt though

butterfly, throwing knives and stiletto's are always illegal..

brass knuckels are always illegal

nice.. but since we're on the subject, punishment in Holland is really soft, they'd proppably just fine me, you would have to use them or own serious firepower to see some jail time under the illegal arms laws..

What happens (in Holland) when you mailorder or get send something questionable and it gets stopped by customs is that either

you get a call (sometimes by somebody else than the customs) to ask if the package is yours. If it is you will get a fine or, depending on the content, somebody will pay you a visit.

you get a fine which you can fight by rejecting the package was yours.


ALWAYS if they ask if a package is yours say: I do not know. I am not aware of a package. Why do you ask? (or something which basically leaves all options open) Any follow up question should be answered negatively.

NEVER say: Yes; I am expecting a package. (or something which acknowledges anything).


If you do say that you ordered something online or if they asked you what you ordered....then proceed by following the following advice: something harmless like books, clothes or household items. this leaves a defence open for: they fucked up my order!!! No way I would order something like that! That is illegal. I do not accept the package!

Also...do not accept te package if you think you might be speaking with customs or law anforcement and you may have inadvertedly ordered something which is not strictly speaking...accpetable.

If you did not specifically intend to break the law they have a hard time fining or prosecuting you because you simply are not responsible for what other people try to send you.


Steroids, proto-hormones, drugs, illegal ammunition, chemical supplies prohibited, firearms can get you jail time in some cases this depends on the amount.
