is it just me or is this the last dieing gasp of our economic system? how can i make 80 000.00 a year with a small rental to live in and just barely squeek by? wtf? it seems everything goes up in price monthly, even just incrementaly but still it all adds up. you cannot even afford a decent vacation anymore, its insane to me. health costs are skyrocketing, god forbid you don't have insurance your done for years trying to pay a simple visit with lab work! its crazy. thank god i dont have children and feel for those who do. everyone i know lives paycheck to paycheck and i really think this large factory i work for want it to stay that way. i hate to be negative but i feel like i am never going to be able to retire, i cant save shit in my 401k, im already nearing 50 yrs of age and really starting to fell depressed in my life. i see nothing getting better.

capitalism always finds a way to survive, untill it depletes the earths resources or fucks up so badly we'll be back in the stone age. In the 30's and 60's people also thought the system was about to end.
Unless we find a way to smash it/build something new, it'll just go on untill we plunge off the cliff together.
I dont have the benefit of 50 yrs of experience (only 22), but yea i cant see anything get better either. The whole activism shit is bullshit too, making us run around in circles holding placards as if shouting will stop the madness. We need to do something more concrete, build collectives, whatever. Perhaps activism can be a tool towards it, in that you can meet likeminded people through it, but thats about it.
