The US public now supports Palestinian statehood

It seems the deluded image we have of the American public thanks to Hollywood films and false corporative advertising has really bitten the sweet ass of the international community. Now it seems the Americans are flying the flag of the Arab revolution, chanting "Mubarak must go!" and really pushing a for a new destiny. Well, I wouldn't be that hopeful, but the statistics received from a recent right-wing Zionist group seem to make you believe otherwise.

According to a recent poll (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4055635,00.html), released by the über-Zionist "Israel Project," only around 51% of the American public oppose a unilateral Palestinian declaration of independence. A surprsing 54% favour a Palestinian state achieved through peaceful negotiations.

For those of you whom are aware of the usual (and quite frankly deluded) statistics regarding the support for Israel, we have seen a huge shift in numbers as Palestine - after over 60 years - is finally being recognised as a state under the suffering of the Zionist fist.

This is just crazy. Has it taken the majority of the US public to recognise the crimes committed with the nation of Palestine? I also can't imagine the Obama administration adhering to the majority opinion either.

Glad some things are changing, but the US will play the sympathy card like they always have done...

It's amazing how much the Lebanon and Gaza wars have changed opinion on the ground. I mean, it's still pretty topsy the other way, but it's come around a lot. My mother in law, for example, generally hates Muslims but her take on the assault on Gaza was "someone should cut their [the IDF's] balls off."

We should up the ante in our fight of the general public recognising the plight of the oppressed Palistinians while the fire is still hot.
Opinion is shifting in the right direction and it is US whom have enabled that, among others. If we all stick to our cause and go out to keep the ball rolling, something has gotta give sometime.
