What does this have to do with "Arab World Protests"?

The IMT is definitely suspicious.. but not for the reasons your anti-virus software thinks.

Aren't there many Muslims in Azerbaijan??? I know that not every Muslim is an Arab and vice versa but these protests fit into the general pattern of "Arab revolutions."

No.

Azeris are Shiite Muslims, but I think they are Turkish and Persian in origin, not Arab. We may not make much of the distinction here in "the West", but there it is "Serious business".

Anyway, I think this kind of thing is evidence of the failure of the USSR in building real class consciousness. How does it take 20 years from the restoration of Capitalism for "the masses" to start to take action against the corruption and nepotism of their government? This would only be the case if they have been deprived of intellectual and social necessities, and an understanding of their own collective power and responsibility.

Perhaps the subforum would be better titled "Middle East protests" or something like that?

And Iranians are Persian.

protests in Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Albania, and say, Ethiopia would not fall under "arab world protests" different nations but often same religions (ethiopia is an exception because i believe there are a lot of copts there)

I am not sure what origin really means given that the people of the region are completely intermixed. Linguistically though Azeris are Turkic as a poster has already pointed out, and their language is mutually comprehensible with modern Turkish.

Armenians are traditionally Christians.

Historically Armenia was the world's first Christian state. There is a useless piece of information for you.

Well actually, in Ethiopia the Christian community is no Coptic but is a native Christian faith. Ehiopia is a very remarkable country. Judaism became the state relgion several thousand years ago - the Ethiopian Emperors traditionally claimed descent from Soloman and the Queen of Sheba. :o

Ethiopia went on to be one of the world's first Christian states - their native Jewish religion gradually transformed into a native Christian religon. Then during the age of Islamic conquest the Northern part of Ethiopia was conquered and began to convert to Islam.

There, some pointless information that had nothing to do with the OP. ;) Any time.
