For a while now I've considered myself a casual poet, stringing lines together here and there for pure enjoyment and occasionally sharing with a confident or two, so I have decided to turn the subject matter of my work to Political means in the hope that a quote or two may inspire others or become synomonous with revolution. So here goes, thoughts and constructive criticism warmly accepted and encouraged, here is my first piece of political poetry -
The light that blinds is often dim,
We much less play, more often sim,
Following the lies we are fed,
All to keep our cozy bed,
But when all is said and done,
Can you say, I was the one,
Who fuelled the flame and stood proud,
When the red nation, screams aloud,
Men will fall, and life will cease,
But the prize will be peace,
Take action when your called,
Capitalism is finally stalled,
And the workers unite to claim it all.
Thanks for taking the time to read through my work, no matter how bad it was.
