What is it about?
It is Bukharins philosophical text written while in Stalin's prison awaiting execution.
Lenin had said in his testament that Bukharin was loved by all and a strong theoretician but he might not have fully understood the dialectic.
This is somewhat of Bukharin's justification.
I am very interested in this work but cant get my hands on it. I am in between apartments and dont want to order it off the major book chains.

Disappointing - I can't find anything on this except from an excerpt:

I think I have this, but it would probably be in storage... I don't remember getting very far in the book, the language and context were too dense for me at the time. I should dig it up some time.
As for price, Amazon.com only asks $37.31 and lists used copies as low as $22.

I think its a pretty obscure text. Capital is available online for free anyhow.

I know. What I meant is that even for an obscure text it must be getting a lot of buyers. More demand for socialism? I wonder who publishes the book.
According to Amazon, Monthly Review Press publishes it. Hmmm...I wonder if some appropriation of surplus value is going on there? If 35$ is the average price, how much goes to non-labor costs, labor costs, and profit?

I think I saw this going for a couple of bucks in a book store. I'll have to go see next week though if it's still there.

I've had it for a while, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. The version I have is published by Pluto Press. I got it for $15 at a used book store.
