I am not sure what your opinions of this would be but here it is: I am currently a high school student. Recently, there was discussion of dropping several teachers because of the budget. Now I know this is pretty small fry compared to the other stuff capitalism has brought but bear with me. Anyways these teachers are some of our best and I am not sure how to respond. I even went to the joke they call a school board meeting but ended up ranting against them. So what would a true leftist do?

I'd see if the teachers were affiliated with any teachers' unions. Maybe they could be of some kind of assistance, but usually cases like the one you speak of, in my opinion, fall through as they appear.
Hopefully otherwise.

Don't let injustice lead you to despair. Use injustice as a fuel to keep the fire of resistance burning inside. Try to find constructive outlets of resistance, like joining a like-minded student group. If one doesn't exist, organize one.
EDIT: With such a like minded group, the opportunities to make powerful, constructive, or revolutionary statements in support of your teachers or students against administrators and politicians becomes possible, rather than lashing out by yourself.

fuck a union, they will just recuperate the struggle.
the best course of action is to talk to other students and teachers and do some sort of action. walk outs are really easy to organize and are a good starting place (just a matter of picking a time and telling everyone to text all the kids they know about it). Those in power only listen when they are threatened, not when some union hack is like "plz dont fire us bro." There is a reason why the wildcat strike is one of the most effective means of attack.

Organizing a walkout is a very good idea, but if you do this, also contact local media and explain why you're having a walkout, and make sure you have someone present at your action who is willing and able to speak to the press about it. It is very important to get your side of the story well represented. If you don't do this, chances are that either your action will simply pass under the radar, or the press ends up interviewing someone who is unprepared and unable to formulate what it is all about, which would give the average Joe the impression that your action is just a bunch of kids causing trouble for no good reason.

Contact the media personally, investigate for journalists that could report your side of the story truthfully and through those actions open safe and stable media channels. A walkout is also a good idea.
Inform other students via flyers, organize a public lecture on the matter... Inform other people, that's the most important thing. Make your fight known to others.
